Hi guys, last week I saw a hilarious TV advert of Pot Noodle! It follows a skinny guy who is dreaming of getting into a boxing ring. No matter what you are dreaming of, you can make it with Pot Noodle. That is what this TV advert of Pot Noodle, launched on September 1 2015, is saying.
The funny thing about this advert is that in the first few moments of the spot, viewers immediately get the impression that the skinny guy is dreaming of becoming a boxing champion. Viewers are lead to think that the guy is training in musty gyms to win the boxing match. But is this really the guy’s intention?
Achieving the aim of the guy seems impossible due to his appearance, as he is not likely to be as strong and muscular as a professional boxer. Viewers of the advert feel the guy is hopeless and they are eager to make fun of his unrealistic goal...
At the end of the
video, it turns out that the guy is not exactly the champion you thought he
would be. Instead the man has not been training to fight as a boxer, but to
become the sexy one to hold up the cards announcing the upcoming rounds in the
boxing ring. The twist in the end of the commercial has a surprising effect
